Changing windows & doors
If you would require other windows and doors that are bigger than the standard size or if you want to put them in another place you will be charged with a modification charge for each modification. All single doors are left handed. If you want your single door to be right handed, please mention this on the order.

A floor
Especially during periods with a high percentage of moisture, also the moistness inside the building, will increase. In case your have treated (painted) the building properly, both inside and outside you will hardly notice any effect. The goods inside however might be troubled and in such case air grates are a perfect godsend. Air grates always have to be placed on groups of two, opposite each other, so the wind can blow through the building. Quite some moisture might appear from the soil through the pavement. In case you absolutely insist on a dry building you better install a wooden floor (eventually with insulation material).

Insulation for roof and floor and other insulation options
It is possible to have the roof and floor of your summer house or log cabin insulated. We would recommend doing so if you are going to use your summer house or log cabin as a home office or guest house. The floor insulation delivered by Lugarde has a thickness of 4 cm and is very easy to apply so relatively cheap. You have to put the floor insulation between the floor joists and underneath the floor boards. The roof insulation consists out of insulation plates with a thickness of 4 cm. These insulation plates have to be put on top of the roof boards. Another option for insulating your building is putting double glazed doors/windows in.

Lugarde Paint
Do not take any risks and order the proper paint for your summerhouse. Together with a well established manufacturer of paint we have developed an excellent system, which in case you follow the instructions, guarantees a perfect protection and long life time.

Shutters
For almost all windows it is possible to buy shutters now.

Thatched roof
In stead of a shingles roof you can choose for a thatched roof. For summer houses in the octagonal range up to 300cm and the oval buildings up to 350 x 300 cm the roof is made up of 8 ready to use elements, both for thatched roofs and for shingled roofs. The roofs of all other summerhouses are delivered as a building kit, meaning separate rafters, roof beams and shingles. These buildings can be thatched locally.

Pre-Impregnated by Lugarde
You can have your house being pre-impregnated by Lugarde. It is not done by high pressure, but the wood will be dipped in the impregnation agent. You don't have to impregnate the wood on site anymore.

Increasing the wall height
Sometimes it may be necessary (if you choose other doors/windows) to raise the walls height by one board to allow the doors or windows to fit. For a building with a 28 mm wall thickness these costs are different per meter than buildings with a wall thickness of 44mm. The costs can be found in the pricelist. When buying a permata summer house you also have to increase the wall height.
